Corrections
We publish data-heavy analysis. We will sometimes be wrong. The handling is mechanical.
When an article contains a material error of fact, figure, or attribution, we correct the text, add a dated note at the foot of the article describing the change, and move the modified timestamp. The publication date never moves.
We do not freshen dates for cosmetic edits. We do not republish changed stories as new. We do not silently edit claims a reader may have acted on. If new information kills a thesis, that is a new article, not a stealth edit.
Request a correction: [email protected]. Include the URL and the specific claim. Attach a primary source if you have one. We correct regardless of who asks.
